July 4 Wrap Up
It’s been a while. Here’s some content that I’ve been enjoying over the past few weeks.
The Transcript: This is a fascinating blog - newsletter - podcast combo that looks through transcripts of quarterly earnings calls from major US companies. The Transcript team then pulls out quotes and themes that help you get a better understanding about how the big (mainly) men are thinking about the (mainly US to be fair) economy. See the blog here and the podcast here.
The Mokaya: Erick Mokaya’s blog post where he pulls together some interesting articles about how to think about company valuations. It’s very public market focused and quite technical so its not gonna be for everyone. I found it interesting none the less. Check it out here.
PS: Erick if gonna be a guest soon on my new podcast Savings and Current4 Investment Strategies you should know. I’ve been doing a lot of finance related reading recently and I enjoyed this as a way to help provide a framework for how to think about investing in public markets (the stock market and such).
The Browser Newsletter: If you’re one of those people who just likes to read about interesting things, you’ll enjoy the browser.
Happy reading, listening and learning
