1. You really need to start leaving your phone and laptop away from your bed when you sleep. Whatever you’re reading on Twitter at 1am is not going to move your life forward.

2. You really need to set a consistent bed time for yourself. Remember, routines root us.

3. That whole sleeping with the TV on is not it. It’s so chaotic

These habits will elevate your life. I know it and you know it. And that’s why you’re super bitter right now. Because now I’ve reminded you, you have to sit in silent judgement of yourself.

“Honourable minister, off your mic.” LOL no.

Please Dos

1. A nice 30 min meditation when you’re in bed can never lead you wrong.

2. These manta sleep masks are so delightful.

3. A nice cup of relaxing tea before bed is a gift. Right now I’m loving Well-Kanda from Brooklyn Team. If you can’t get your hands on this, just google a “sleep time tea” and you’ll get so many options. I know chamomile is a favorite, though I think it tastes like ass.

4. Try sleeping earlier and seeing if you can wake up at a reasonable time without an alarm clock. Most of us have been waking up to a startle all our lives: our parents waking up to get to school, our alarms waking up . Imagine a life where your body naturally wakes itself up at a nice and early hour. It’s possible. I got into a routine of sleeping at 9/10pm and I get up naturally at 5/6am. It’s delightful.
